Entrance Qualifications
Candidates seeking admission to the Course should be:
- Holders of an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in Plastic Arts, Perfomance Arts, Design, Music, Informatics, Information Systems, Multimedia, Comunication Sciences, or related areas;
- Holders of an overseas undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in the above mentioned, or similar areas, awarded in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a European or other State adhering to this process; or
- Holders of an overseas qualification that is recognised as satisfying the objectives of an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in the above mentioned or similar areas, by the Course Steering Committee; or
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional Curriculum Vita that is recognised, by the Course Steering Committee, as testifying to the capacity of a candidate to satisfactorily undertake this period of study.
Moreover, it will be possible to admit, as supernumeraries, candidates that have attended the curricular part of an earlier version of the Course.
Number of Places
The number of places on offer for academic year 2011/2012 is 20.
The minimum number of places for the Course to take place is 10.
Selection of Candidates
The selection of candidates will be undertaken by the Course Management Committee in accordance with the conditions and criteria for selection in force.
The current criteria for selection in force are as follows:
- Undergraduate (first) degree and appropriate final classification;
- Other relevant degrees/diplomas obtained by the candidate;
- Professional experience related to the area of the Course;
- Academic, scientific and technical-professional Curriculum Vitae.
In order to fully evaluate the interests of candidates for the Course or to clarify any doubts that may arise during the selection process and ranking of the candidates, individual interviews may be arranged for candidates and conducted by the Course Management Committee.

The inscription fee for the academic year 2011/12 is 1250 Euros / Year.
There are two application periods open from the June to September, 2011. Is highly recommended that the studens apply in the first period to maximize the chances of a sucessful application.

The candidates should deliver or mail the documents listed bellow addressed to "Divisão de Pós-Graduação dos Serviços Académicos" until the end of the application period.
Candidacy Procedures (Portuguese applicants)
- Submit an electronic application, at: http://alunos.uminho.pt/candidaturasPG
- Obtain two references or letters of recommendation that are included with the application documents and which should be sent by the referees (or delivered personally) in a sealed envelope along with the rest of the application documents;
- Lodge (personally or by post) the application documentation, which should consist of, among other things, the completed application form, a copy of the certificate confirming completion of an undergraduate degree and a detailed Curriculum Vitae (See complete list and addresses in the application instructions).
Candidacy Procedures (Overseas applicants)
- Submit an electronic application, at: http://alunos.uminho.pt/candidaturasPG
- Obtain two references or letters of recommendation that are included with the application documents and which should be sent by the referees (or delivered personally) ;
- Lodge (personally or by post) the application documentation, which should consist of, among other things, the completed application form, a copy of the certificate confirming completion of an undergraduate degree and a detailed Curriculum Vitae (See complete list and addresses in the application instructions).
- In the case of candidates with undergraduate degrees obtained outside Portugal it is also necessary to include a document that shows the graduation course subjects and marks recognised by the Registry or other authorised body of the institution where the course took place.
Enrolment and Course Fees
Course enrolment will take place in the Post-graduate Office of the University of Minho.
The following documents will be needed for the purpose of matriculation:
- Two passport-sized photographs;
- A copy of the Identity Card (or Passport) of the applicant;
- A copy of the card (or other document) showing the Taxation Number of the applicant; *
- A Vaccination Certificate (in date for anti-tetanus);
- Relevant forms available from the Post-graduate Office.
